What is Kajabi

Kajabi was founded in 2009 by a group of entrepreneurs who wanted to make it easier for anyone to start their own business.

The founders knew that there were many barriers preventing people from starting their own businesses. They also recognized that there was a huge opportunity to help people build successful businesses through education.

Today, Kajabi has grown into a global company with offices around the world.

The Kajabi team is dedicated to providing the best experience for both students and instructors.

They are committed to helping instructors succeed by offering an easy way to sell online courses and empowering students to learn anytime, anywhere.

With over 50 million monthly active learners across the globe, Kajabi is one of the most popular platforms used to teach people how to build businesses online.

What Is Kajabi Used For?

Kajabi is a web-based software provider that offers everything you need to start selling online courses, membership sites and coaching programs.

The Kajabi platform is designed to make creating, promoting, and growing online businesses extremely simple. You don’t need to know how to build a website, write code, or integrate anything. All you need is a computer and an internet connection.

In addition to being incredibly easy to use, Kajabi provides lots of powerful features that allow you to easily promote your products and grow your audience.

Here are just some of the things you can do with Kajabi:

Create Your Own Online Course – Create a course in minutes and let people enroll without having to go anywhere else.

Promote Your Courses – Use our built-in toolkit to create beautiful sales pages and lead magnets.

Grow Your Audience – Promote your courses to thousands of students across multiple social media channels.

Costs

Kajabi provides three different pricing options, starting at just $149/month. You can choose monthly, quarterly, or annual billing depending on how you want to pay.

If you decide to go with monthly billing, you’ll save about $100 over a one year term compared to paying upfront for a full year.

All pricing plans include access to all features including webinars, videos, training courses, templates, and support. To upgrade or downgrade your plan, it won’t incur any additional charges.

There are no hidden Kajabim fees. A standard Stripe merchant processing charge of 2.9% plus 30 cents per transaction applies. You can check Stripe processing fee information here.

One of the nice things that you receive with Kajabi is a money back guarantee, meaning if you’re unsatisfied for any reason whatsoever, you can request a refund within 60 days of purchase.

Basic plan

The Kajabi Basic package is designed for small businesses looking to build a solid online presence without having to spend too much money.

This package includes everything you’ll need to start building your brand online. You get three products and three pipelines.

Each pipeline allows you to send out up to 30 emails per day, and each product provides you with a landing page, email template, and form builder.

With the Basic Package, you can manage all of your campaigns from within the dashboard, and it doesn’t require any programming knowledge.

There are no limits on how many leads and customers you can generate, and there is no limit on how many times you can rebrand your site.

You also receive access to Kajabi Academy, webinars, a library of prebuilt templates, and more. With the Basic package, you pay just $149/month for the entire package.

Growth plan

Growth plan

The next and most popular plan, the Growth Plan, ups the number of products to 15, including seven ecommerce stores and eight lead generation sites.

Users can gain access to additional tools such as advanced email marketing templates, advanced analytics, and a custom domain. This plan costs $199 per month but if you choose an annual subscription it equates to $159 a month.

Users will receive advanced automation, a team of customer success managers, 24/7 chat assistance, and the ability to add Kajabi to their existing domain names. They can also choose to pay monthly or annually for the product.

Pro plan

The Kajabi team just announced the launch of the Kajabi Pro plan, offering unlimited sites, unlimited members, unlimited campaigns, and unlimited leads.

This is the highest level of membership you can buy directly from Kajabi.com.

In addition to the unlimited features, there are some additional benefits to being a Pro member.

For example, you’ll receive 10% off all plans, free support 7 days per week, priority access to beta releases, and early access to new features. All this for $199 per month.

Pros and cons

There is no doubt Kajabi is one of the most popular eCommerce platforms out there today. With over 10 million active sellers, it has become a go-to solution for many online retailers.

In fact, even Amazon uses Kajabi to power its own ecommerce store. But while Kajabi has been around for quite some time now, it still lacks a lot of features and customization options.

So let’s take a closer look at how Kajabi works, and whether it’s worth your money.

Pros

  • There’s no need to integrate a third party email provider.
  • Built-in sales funnel software(aka The Sales Pipeline which allows you to create several types of marketing funnels to drive customer sales.)
  • Marketing automation that allows you to trigger emails or course offers based on things like course completion or inactivity. • You are able to customize. You can match the look and feel of your business or website.
  • You are able to choose from a large set of professionally  designed, customizable themes.

Cons

  • Kajabi is one of the most popular eCommerce courses platforms out there. While it offers great features such as an online store builder, you might want to look at alternatives to ensure you are making the right choice.
  • The biggest downside of Kajabi is that it doesn’t allow you to sell anything without having a separate account. Not only do you pay $99/month to have access to the platform, but you also need to open up a separate account with Accredible to actually sell products. If you already have a Shopify store, you can easily export your inventory to another provider like Amazon or eBay, but you won’t have access to the same tools.

In summary

If you’re looking for a simple platform with basic functionality, Kajabi might work for you. But if you’re looking for a fully functional eCommerce solution, you might want to consider a different platform.
