The company offers a variety of features such as course creation, assessment, collaboration, communication, grading, reporting, and analytics. Thinkific helps teachers create courses, manage assignments, track student performance, and communicate effectively.
Students can access their grades, view class schedules, and participate in discussions. Teachers can also assign homework or quizzes.
So let’s read this article to know how can a student use Thinkific in the simplest way.
How Does Student Learning Work On Thinkific?
Thinkific offers students a unique way to learn online. Students sign up for one of our many learning bundles, where they receive access to over 40+ courses taught by some of the best instructors in the world.
Each course is organized into modules, lessons, videos, quizzes, assignments, and discussions. With Thinkific you’ll never feel overwhelmed by information overload again. Our goal is simple: help students succeed.
The Thinkific student dashboard provides you with real-time data about how many enrollments are happening on each course.
You’ll see the number of enrollments per day, week, month, quarter, and semester. This information helps you keep track of trends and make decisions based on current enrollment numbers. You can use the Student Dashboard to:
- Monitor the progress of your courses
- Identify potential problems early
- Make sure your courses are meeting the needs of your students
To access the Student Dashboard, go to your Thinkific student account and log into your student portal. Then, navigate to the Enrollment tab. From there, you’ll find the Student Dashboard under the Enrollments section.
What Is The Student Dashboard On Thinkific?
The Student Dashboard is the landing page that students use to log in to their accounts on Thinkific sites. When they do, they see the course cards for the courses in which they are enrolled. In addition, they see community cards for any online communities to which they belong.

Students can click to resume or begin courses in the Thinkific Courses Player, or click into one of the many online communities where they participate. They can also click on the Site Header links to navigate among other pages on your Thinkific site.
How Do Course Cards Work?
Thinkific offers students a way to manage their courses via the course cards feature. This allows them to see what courses are next, view a summary of each course, and even jump into specific lessons within a course.
The course cards feature is accessed by clicking on the course card icon on the left side of the Dashboard. From there, you’ll see three options: Start, Resume, and Replay Course. Clicking on one of those options will take you to the course’s landing page.
You can also click on the course’s name to go straight to the course’s landing site. Students can access a course’s overview to click save on See Overview on a course’s card.
Doing so will take you to the overview page where you can see the number of lessons remaining, the total cost of the course, and a list of upcoming dates.
What Are Community Cards?

Community cards are a way to show off what you’re doing outside of class. You’ll see your community cards on your student profile page, under “My Courses.” On the left side of the screen, there will be a list of communities.
Clicking on one reveals a summary of what you’ve done in that community. Students can also access the community via the overview tab on the community card.
To do so, click the See Overview button on the right side of the community card. This takes you to a page where you can view your contributions and activities in each community.

Can Students Access The Course Content Offline?
While students will not be able to log into your courses offline—they must connect to the internet to do so—you always have the option to provide downloadable content such as video, audio, or PDF files in your lessons.
You can even use tools like Dropbox to make it easy for students to save these files to their devices and access them later. This allows students to work on assignments without having to wait for Wi-Fi or data connections.
Can Teachers Offer Certificates To Students Through The Courses?
Certificates are a great tool to recognize students who pass certain milestones in their education. They not only boost motivation, but they can also serve as a verifiable measure of achievement.
However, there are many different types of certificates, and it takes some research to find out what works best for you. Here are a few things to consider when deciding whether to use certificates in your course.
What Type Of Certificate Do You Want?
There are several different types of certificates that you can give out. Some are generic, while others are specific to the student. For example, you could award a certificate that says “You completed the course.”
Or you could award one that says, “You passed the course.” You might even choose to award a certificate that says something like “You successfully completed the course,” since it gives credit to both the student and the instructor.
Who Gets The Certificate?
If you’re giving out a certificate to every student, you don’t necessarily need to worry about who receives it.
But, if you plan on distributing certificates to a select group of people, you’ll need to make sure those recipients are aware of the requirements. This includes making sure they know where to go to pick up the certificate.
