Sales Impact Academy Review: Is It Worth It?

Sales Impact Academy 2023: Is It Worth It?

There are plenty of online educational platforms and high-growth technology companies to choose from these days, but if you’re in B2B sales or have a career in marketing, one of the big names on your radar is probably Sales Impact Academy

Sales Impact Academy has a library including over 1000 courses, which you can access for a monthly or annual subscription.

The courses are practical and oriented towards sales, marketing, and revenue operations, and there’s something for everyone, from brand-new Sales Impact Academy employees to managers, and even entire go-to-market teams.

If you’re interested in finding out more about Sales Impact Academy, our review is the best place to start. We tried out Sales Impact Academy for ourselves and consulted other customer testimonials before weighing up the pros and cons.

This will help you to decide whether a subscription to Sales Impact Academy is worth it for you in this detailed Sales Impact Academy review.

Introducing Sales Impact Academy

Sales Impact Academy aims to educate professionals in B2B sales and marketing in order to improve their sales.

This educational platform provides pre-recorded and live sales courses as compared to traditional education system, and since the subscription service was founded in 2019, it has released thousands of courses and garnered hundreds of positive testimonials from satisfied customers.

The great thing about Sales Impact Academy is that it fills a gap in the range of educational options available to sales and marketing professionals.

Mainstream structured education is sorely lacking in the kind of educational content that SIA provides, and Sales Impact Academy goes above and beyond in seeking out the best teachers with years of experience to produce the best results.

You don’t have to be a business owner or Sales Impact Academy team manager to purchase Sales Impact Academy. The platform also offers subscriptions for individuals, although, as we will see when we look further into SIA’s value for money, the Sales Impact Academy cost can be prohibitive for individual buyers.

Nonetheless, the funding Sales Impact Academy has received speaks volumes about the quality of the educational content and the success of the online learning platform as compared to the traditional higher education system. From October 2019 to the present day, Sales Impact Academy has been given over $26 million in funding.

Currently, 5 different investors are funding SIA, including some big names like Emerge Education and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Sales, Prospecting, And Management Courses

When you pay for a subscription to Sales Impact Academy, you’re paying for access to sales, prospecting, and management courses. Therefore, if you want to decide whether purchasing a subscription to this platform is worth it, the first thing you need to do is assess the courses it offers.

As we have mentioned, there are thousands of courses available on Sales Impact Academy. Here are just a few of the courses you could take if you sign up for an SIA subscription:

Sales Courses

Discovery & Value Proposition Deep Dive

This course is designed to teach employees how to interact with customers with the aim of signing a higher percentage of deals. You’ll take 5 classes as part of this course, which is taught by Brigid Fox and Amanda Arthur, and the course should be completed within 3 weeks.

JOLT: Combat Buyer Hesitation

Buyer hesitation and indecision are a huge obstacles to increasing sales percentages, which is why Sales Impact Academy has a course dedicated to dealing with exactly this issue.

When you take this course, you will learn how to encourage indecisive customers to buy products within 2 weeks (4 lessons). Matt Dixon and Ted McKenna are the instructors of this course.

Account Based Selling for AEs

The goal of Account-Based Selling for AEs is to teach market segmentation and devise plans to increase success in this specific area of sales.

If you are an account executive looking to shine in your field and progress in your career, this is the perfect course for you. It’s divided into 4 classes over a period of 2 weeks and taught by experts Sean Southworth and Amanda Georgoff.

Customer Success Advanced

If you’re looking to have more successful sales-based interactions with customers in general, the Customer Success Advanced course is a great choice.

It’s an advanced course because it builds on knowledge taught in other courses offered by SIA and assumes a level of existing knowledge from prior sales experience.

Laura Kightlinger and Jacqueline Abernathy teach 6 classes, which are designed to be completed over 3 weeks, with the aim of teaching sales professionals how to hit revenue targets more effectively.

Customer Expansion: Cross-Sell & Upsell

One of our favorite courses on Sales Impact Academy is Customer Expansion: Cross-Sell & Upsell. Cross-selling and upselling are both key to customer expansion, which is one of the most important things to focus on when growing an online business.

Mallory Wheaton and Irina Musteata lead this 3-week course, which consists of 5 classes and focuses on how Account Managers and other sales professionals can expand accounts through negotiations and renewals for greater success.

Prospecting Courses

Cold Calling Masterclass

The Cold Calling Masterclass is one of the most popular courses on SIA. It’s led by Mike Liller and focuses on showing outbound sales teams how to get the most out of the cold calling sales model, including how to set intentions for cold calls and how to make each call more impactful and persuasive.

Cold Calling Crash Course

The Cold Calling Crash Course is a great alternative to the Cold Calling Masterclass for sales professionals early on in their career progression. It can also be taken before the Cold Calling Masterclass as an introduction.

The course is structured into 4 classes over 2 weeks, and is taught by Liz Meuse, Mark Ackers, Katie Miles, and Richard Smith. The goal is to teach the basic skills of Cold Calling to new AEs and SDRs.

Becoming an AE: Progressing and Upskilling for SDR’s

Another excellent course for sales professionals starting out is Becoming an AE: Progressing and Upskilling for sdrs.

This course is perfect for individuals who want to shine in their field by fine-tuning their SDR skills with the aim of getting promoted. The course is led by Stuart Taylor and Rachel Gasparini and takes place over 4 classes in 2 weeks.

Cold Email Prospecting

We’ve discussed 2 cold calling courses so far, but if your job in sales specifically involves cold emailing, the Cold Email Prospecting Course is worth considering.

In this course, you will learn how to make prospecting emails more effective to book more meetings and achieve the results you want. Sarah Jane Hicks and Mark Colgan teach this 2-week course over 4 lessons.

Management Courses

Sales Impact Academy Review: Is It Worth It?

Foundations of Great Leadership

If you are in a leadership position or would like to be, we recommend taking Foundations of Great Leadership through SIA.

Nils Vinje and Keri Keeling teach essential leadership skills, beginning with how to lead yourself and including how to communicate effectively while using metrics to lead your team. The course is a 4-hour commitment over 2 weeks.

Data-Driven SDR Management

Using data to make decisions when it comes to leadership is one of the most important skills you can learn as a team leader or manager in sales.

When you take this course, you’ll learn how to interpret and draw conclusions from sales data and use this information to lead your team to greater success. The course is taught in 4 hours across a 2-week period by Brooke Bachesta and Marleyna Mohler.

Crafting Ideal Prospect Personas

In a leadership position in a sales-oriented organization, you may need to build prospecting personas for your team. This course will teach you how to do this through careful planning and profile building. You’ll complete 3 classes over 2 weeks with the guidance of Chief Executive Officer, Marylou Tyler.

Data-Driven AE Management

The Data-Driven AE Management course, led by Richard Henderson and Caroline Holt, is designed to help managers to understand the numerical aspect of sales data for better strategic planning, decision-making, and performance reporting. The course takes 2 weeks to complete in 4 hour-long classes.

User Experience

Our experience using Sales Impact Academy was largely very positive, and the same can be said for most customers, as we’ll go on to discuss in a moment.

Subscribing to Sales Impact Academy involves filling in a form and waiting for a representative of SIA to contact you. Logging onto the platform in the future will require you to input your work email address and click on the link sent to your email.

After you have signed up, we recommend going through the whole onboarding sales process. This might seem like a lot of work, but the platform can be a little confusing to use if you don’t familiarize yourself first.

We also quickly realized that the live sessions were not available to view after the scheduled time slot, which could be difficult for anyone working around other commitments. Missing a session is not ideal, since there are course exams at the end that you need to pass to get a certificate.

Other than that, the quality of the content is excellent, the instructors are highly skilled professionals, and you are guaranteed to learn a lot from whatever course you choose to enroll in.

Customer Testimonials

As you can see, a wide variety of courses are available on Sales Impact Academy, and they’re all expert-led as well as well-structured. We were impressed by the quality of the continuous live learning solution on SIA, but we wanted to find out what other customers thought.

Most of the testimonials regarding Sales Impact Academy are positive and talk about how the experts teaching the courses to deliver both introductory and advanced information in a way that is easy to digest, leading to better understanding in a short space of time.

Many people who have taken SIA courses report having developed professionally and advanced in their careers.

With that being said, there are some less positive testimonials that discuss the price of the subscription, and the fact that if you take multiple courses around the same area (for example, the Cold Calling Crash Course and the Cold Calling Masterclass), you can expect some overlap.

We should note that any negative testimonials are responded to and handled professionally and quickly by the customer support team at SIA, which is reassuring and shows that the platform is committed to providing positive experiences and learning from feedback.

Price Points And Value For Money

We mentioned in our introduction to Sales Impact Academy that if you’re planning to get an individual subscription, you should be prepared for a high price point. But what exactly are the SIA prices?

Sales Impact Academy will give individuals access to the entire library of courses for a $1,500 annual subscription. This is, of course, a lot of money, but if you’re signing up as a team, you can use a more affordably-priced team trial.

Ultimately, whether you think Sales Impact Academy will be worth it for the price depends on how much you’re willing to pay for expert knowledge and how many courses you plan on taking. After all, there are thousands of courses to choose from.

If you take 10 courses in a year, for example, you’re paying $150 per course on an individual basis.

Overview

When you subscribe, you get access to thousands of expert-led courses with the opportunity for certification. Whether you’re an employee looking for progression or a manager seeking to improve your leadership skills, SIA can help you.

With a detailed onboarding process and a highly responsive customer support team, Sales Impact Academy is dedicated to making your learning experience as positive as possible.
