Amazon Web Services, otherwise known as AWS claims to be the “world’s most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform” as compared to Google Cloud Platform and Google Cloud Networking. It offers more than 200 full-featured services, supporting millions of customers all over the world.

This includes some of the largest enterprises in the world.

We can use AWS to lower costs as compared to Google Cloud services, be more innovative, and become more agile, however, we have to know how to use the cloud services if we’re going to make the most of them. If you’ve never used AWS before, this can seem pretty daunting.

5. AWS S3 Basics

If you’re keen to learn about AWS S3 but don’t want to go too deep into the topic, take a look at the AWS S3 Basics course. This course is one of Coursera’s free guided projects.

It only takes 1 hour to complete and provides you with a good knowledge base of AWS S3.

The penultimate Amazon Web Services Coursera course on this list is the Containerized Applications on AWS course. This course is a solid choice for anyone that wants to further their knowledge of AWS services.

Personally, in our opinion, this isn’t the best course to enroll in if you don’t know what AWS is.

Containerized Applications on AWS

This in-depth course introduces students to container technologies. Once you know what container technologies are, the course shows you how they can be implemented to modernize applications.

This is then related to AWS, with the course exploring how the different AWS services can be managed and orchestrated using the containers.

The container technologies you’ll leave the course with the experience of include Kubernetes and Docker. This is great as these are two of the biggest and the most popular courses technologies used.

Once you’ve finished the course, you should know what containers are, how they are built, how they are deployed, how to identify them, and the basic concepts of Amazon elastic container services.

10. Exam Prep: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate

The final course on our list is designed to assess your preparedness for the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate exam. If you’re planning on taking your exam soon, this is a course you simply have to take.

Even if you’re confident you know everything there is to know about AWS, taking part in this course doesn’t do any harm. The course shows you how to prepare for your exam by looking at the key topics you’ll be assessed on.
