What Is CBT Nuggets?

CBT Nuggets is a learning platform where you can get expert IT training when and where you need it.

It offers video training from industry experts, virtual labs to simulate software and hardware, and practice exams.

CBT Nuggets has been used for over 20 years to improve the work of professionals and teach anyone how to better utilize technology.

You will find a selection of IT and management courses on CBT Nuggets to help you improve your skills.

Overall, there are over 500 courses currently available with over 1000 virtual labs to access. With over 27,000 videos available, you might not always want to have internet access to them.

To help you access them online, we will give you access to the training provider instructions to help you access the videos offline.

Many of the videos available on CBT Nuggets are only a few minutes long, so you can easily go through a number of them within a few hours.

However, that does mean it’s easier to lose track of the ones you want to watch. If you don’t want to spend hours searching for a video you’ve already watched, you can always download them for personal use.

There are numerous reasons that you might want to download your courses, and one reason is to focus on the virtual labs.

You can focus on your practical courses, and focus on the subjects you need to by downloading your videos.

Another factor that might impact your decision is that you may not have access to Wi-Fi at a specific time, and may want to access your videos offline to revise.

So here are a few methods that can help you download CBT Nuggets videos.

How To Download Videos From CBT Nuggets On The App

If you have the CBT Nuggets app on iOS and Android devices, you should be able to download up to 20 videos onto your device.

However, the offline training feature won’t be available to everyone. It’s only available to annual subscribers.

To download your videos, you must ensure you have a secure Wi-Fi connection to avoid any data charges.

Once you’ve done that, head over to the desired course. You should be able to find a small down arrow icon located to the right of your video’s title.

You should be directed to a download task button on the lower right. Then, you’ll find that after a small period that the video should be available on your device.

All of the videos that you download offline are available for up to 30 days, or until your subscription runs out.

You may find that if the course you’re on is scheduled for retirement, then the course will be available for download until 30 days prior to then.

However, if the course does expire, you’ll still be able to watch the video online, but not offline.

A Step-By-Step Guide To Download And Manage Your Videos

To make the process even simpler, here is a step-by-step guide to lead you through the process of downloading your videos.

Step 1

Go to the course that you want to download the video from on the app.

Step 2

Go to the More Options menu, which should appear as three dots. This will be to the right of the video title of the video you want to download for offline viewing.

Step 3

Go to the Download option in the More Options menu. As you download the video, a blue progress icon should appear to the left of the video title.

Once the download is completed, the blue progress circle to the left will turn green. This will signal that the course has been downloaded successfully.

However, keep in mind that you can only keep 20 videos on your device at a time. So, to ensure that you can keep all of your videos in one place, here’s a small step-by-step guide on managing your videos.

Step 1

Go to the app and tap the Menu icon in the upper left corner of your screen. If you can’t see it, you could also swipe your screen to the right so that you can see the main menu.

Step 2

In the main menu, go down to the Downloads section and tap it.

Step 3

In the Downloads section you should be given a selection of your downloads. To play or remove them, select the More Options menu on the right, which should appear as three dots.

If you see a blue progress icon to the left of the title of a video, it will mean that it is still currently downloading.

How To Ensure Your Videos Are Downloaded Via Data/Wi-Fi

Ideally, you should download your videos through a secure Wi-Fi connection. However, this isn’t an option for everyone.

As CBT Nuggets recommend you download their videos through Wi-Fi, you’ll find the preferences are automatically set to Wi-Fi only, but you can toggle this to cellular data with this step-by-step guide.

Step 1

Go to the Menu icon located in the upper left of your screen. If you can’t see it, swipe your screen to the right so you have a full view of the main menu.

Step 2

Go to the settings icon next to your name. It should appear as a small gear icon.

Step 3

In your settings, you should find a Downloads section. You should see a toggle by “Download on Wi-Fi only.” Turn this toggle off, and you’ll find that you can now download your videos offline on cellular data.

Many people use screen recorders nowadays so that they can utilize their online courses to the best of their abilities.

They also prevent you from needing to have too many tabs open on your computer, and can help you focus more.

Final Thoughts

CBT Nuggets are small helpful videos that are great to use for revising and training. However, you may not be able to access them online all the time.

A course may have gone offline, and you may want a more permanent record of your studies. While you can download videos temporarily on your phone, it isn’t permanent.

That’s why we’ve included screen recorder tools for you to use.

However, it’s essential that you know that these videos should only be used for personal use.

The content in each course doesn’t belong to you personally, so you shouldn’t share them online for your own profit.

Yet there is nothing wrong with downloading these courses for your own personal use to help you study.
