GoSkills is one of the world’s largest online job platforms where you can find jobs and recruiters looking for candidates.
It offers industry-accredited courses, bite-sized lessons, full online learning, and career guidance.
GoSkills has over 2 million registered learners worldwide. In addition to its free lessons, GoSkills also provides paid courses.
Let’s dig deep into the GoSkills review, and learn more about this platform.
What Exactly Is GoSkills As A Company?
GoSkills is an online education platform that was founded in 2013, offering a variety of free and paid courses taught by industry experts. Its mission is simple: help people learn what they want to know about work and life.
The site currently has over 200k students taking part in its over 90+ courses. Courses include lessons on how to make a resume, basic coding in Python, and much more.
There are also plenty of business-related courses including lessons on project management, leadership training, and even some science-based courses teaching experimental design and hypothesis testing.
How Does GoSkills Work?
GoSkills is a global online learning marketplace where people can learn skills like coding, design, marketing, accounting, etc., for free or pay per course.
They offer over 2,500 courses across 20 languages and 10 countries. There are no upfront fees, just one monthly fee based on how long you want access to the site. You can cancel anytime without penalty.
The site offers three membership levels: Basic ($9/month), Premium ($19/month), and Pro ($39/month). Each level unlocks different features.
For example, Basic members receive unlimited access to all courses, while Premium and Pro members gain access to additional features.
What Courses Do They Provide?
The GoSkills program offers free online training for job seekers looking to improve their skills.
They offer over 90 courses ranging from Microsoft Office to financial topics like investing, budgeting, taxes, and retirement planning.
These courses are broken down into 10 different categories including finance, project management, accounting, marketing, sales, leadership, engineering, programming, human resources, and healthcare.
Each course covers a specific topic within those broad areas.
What Is It Like Using GoSkills?
We’ve seen our fair share of dodgy training materials. But not GoSkills. They offer a range of different courses covering topics such as web design, coding, data analysis, and much more.
The best thing about GoSkills is that there isn’t just one course per topic. Instead, they offer a variety of different courses that cover everything from beginner level to expert level.
This gives learners a chance to pick up skills quickly without having to invest too long into each individual lesson.
If you’re looking for something to help boost your career, GoSkills might be exactly what you’re looking for.
What Do The Lessons Provide?
GoSkills offers a range of online courses for students of software development. Each course consists of several modules, each covering a different topic related to programming.
Lessons typically start off with a short introduction to the topic followed by a practical example. This is then broken down into smaller steps that teach you what you need to know.
There is a lot of emphases placed on theory and practice. You learn about good coding practices and bad ones. You also learn about how to write clean code and how to debug it.
In addition, there are exercises to test your knowledge and reinforce what you have already learned. These exercises might involve writing programs or solving problems.
A supplementary printed version of the lesson will follow the video and contain additional information.

What Are The Benefits Of Using The Platform?
Good Structured Lessons
GoSkills lessons are structured in such a way that you feel like you’re attending a real classroom session at university. There’s always a printed handout, usually containing additional exercises, quizzes, and/or transcripts.
This helps make it very easy to memorize what you’ve been taught, and also allows you to practice your skills immediately afterward.
The videos themselves are pretty great, too; they’re informative and entertaining, and they give a good overview of the topic without feeling overly dry.
They definitely don’t fall into the “here are a bunch of facts and figures, now go learn them!” trap that many MOOCs suffer from.
We think the best part of GoSkills is how well-structured the lessons are. They’re designed in such a way that it’s easy to remember everything you’ve learned because you’re actively practicing it.
Goal Setting And Daily Rewards
GoSkills is a web app designed to help people track their daily activities and goals. Users are able to add up to five different types of activity — including studying, working out, reading books, etc. — along with a corresponding reward system.
Rewards include points, money, and even real-world items like food or coffee (see also ‘13 Best Masterclass Coffee Courses You Can Try Today‘).
The app allows users to set weekly goals and receive daily rewards based on whether they met those goals.
For example, if a person sets a goal to study three hours every weekday, he or she will receive a certain amount of points every day depending on how much time he or she spends studying. This encourages consistency and helps users stick to their goals.
What Could Improve The Platform?

GoSkills is one of our favorite online learning platforms. With over 500 courses ranging from beginner level to expert level, it offers something for everyone.
However, whilst GoSkills does offer many free courses, you do pay for some premium courses. Some people don’t mind spending money on education, but others prefer to learn without having to spend too much.
So what else could be improved? Here are three things that we’d love to see implemented into future courses.
1. More Courses
We know that GoSkills already offers plenty of different courses, but we feel there’s always room for improvement. As mentioned above, GoSkills has a number of free courses, but they’re mostly focused on Python.
There are a few Java courses, but most of those are aimed at beginners. We’d love to see more courses for intermediate and even advanced programmers.
2. Better Support & Customer Service
As people who use GoSkills every day, we’ve found that support and customer service are pretty good. They reply to emails quickly and generally provide helpful information.
But sometimes we find ourselves stuck, and we want to ask questions about how to solve certain problems.
For example, we recently had a problem with an account where we couldn’t log in because we didn’t have enough space left on our Dropbox storage.
After contacting GoSkills’ support team, they helped us fix the issue within just a couple of hours. This is really impressive, especially considering that GoSkills doesn’t charge for support.
3. A New Platform
The current GoSkills platform isn’t very intuitive, and there aren’t many options to customize your experience.
You can choose between watching videos via YouTube, Vimeo, Dailymotion, or Twitch. You can watch the lectures live, or download them later.
When you finish a course, you can either print out the certificate straight away or save it to PDF format. And finally, you can view your progress by completing assignments, quizzes, tests, and projects.
All of these features work well, but they’re not particularly easy to navigate. If GoSkills wants to attract more students, we think they need to improve its platform.
What’s The Verdict? Is GoSkills Worth It?
As someone who works in data analysis and Excel spreadsheets, we’ve been using GoSkills for about a while now, and we’d say that it’s definitely worth it.
We’re a big fan of online courses because we find that they’re much easier to fit around our schedule, especially since we work full time.
And while there are many sites offering similar products, none of them offer such a wide range of topics or tools.
GoSkills offers over 20 different courses covering topics ranging from basic programming to Excel and SQL, and each one includes video tutorials along with quizzes and homework assignments.
You can sign up for unlimited access to all the courses for $15 per month, or pay $90 for lifetime access.
Final Thoughts
If you’re looking for an affordable way to get started with coding, then GoSkills might be perfect for you.
Whether you’re new to programming or experienced, GoSkills will help you master any topic you wish to learn.
