Engineers, accountants, writers and analysts are just some of the jobs listed as most likely to be affected, a new study reveals. But many more jobs, even ones you may have thought would be safe such as modeling, could be at risk.
Will Artificial Intelligence (AI) Replace Jobs?
Artificial Intelligence (AI) and ChatGPT has the potential to replace some jobs, particularly those involving repetitive tasks, data analysis, or basic decision-making.
Will My Job Be Replaced By AI or ChatGPT?

A study by OpenAI the company behind ChatGPT, OpenResearch and the University of Pennsylvania, measured how much certain occupations are affected by large language models like GPTs (Generative Pre-trained Transformers) and AI. The exposure percentages show the portion of tasks within an occupation that could be significantly sped up (by at least 50%) by using GPTs or GPT-powered software.
The occupations with the highest exposure are the ones where GPTs and GPT-powered software can save workers the most time on a large portion of their tasks. The final row of the table lists occupations with the most variation in exposure scores, meaning there’s a wide range of how much different tasks within these occupations can be affected by GPTs.
It’s important to note that high exposure doesn’t mean an occupation’s tasks can be fully automated by GPTs or GPT-powered software. It simply means that these technologies can significantly reduce the time it takes to complete many tasks within those occupations.

So if you are in one of the above occupations, you are considered safe from AI taking your job.
These jobs are primarily hands-on, manual labor jobs, often involving physical work and requiring specific technical skills. These jobs are typically performed in industries such as agriculture, automotive, construction, food service, manufacturing, mining, and oil and gas.

Conclusion
The truth is no one knows the impact this will have as it’s growing rapidly and affecting many tasks and jobs.
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman said this would happen and can happen sooner than we think.
We have seen this before, look at large-scale automated companies, even Amazon and the warehouse robots.
Over the past 12 years or so they added 510,000 bots. But created 1 million plus jobs.
So its not the end of the World in terms of job loss that the media seem to use as clickbait.
Truth is no one really knows what new jobs will even be yet.
This is the worst AI will ever be!
