Matematik Köyü
Filed under: Education by Leo Casey @ 10:51 pm
JD2718 passes on a story of bureaucratic interference with mathematics education in Turkey. A leading Turkish mathematician created a summer camp for students interested in learning mathematics, Matematik Köyü [Mathematics Village]. The authorities have done their best to shut it down.
There is an on-line petition supporting the camp. To sign it, e-mail borovik@manchester.ac.uk.
